Our founder, Curtis Clemons, grew up in government housing in rural Kentucky. He became a homeowner at 23, something most people with his background never get to do. The process wasn't perfect. There were mistakes, lessons, and yes, one ill-fated fixer-upper that looked a lot easier on HGTV than it turned out to be in real life.
But the gravity of what he'd accomplished stayed with him. Owning a home changed things. It opened doors, literally and otherwise. And that experience, combined with an 11-year career in real estate, a rural upbringing, a journey of coming into his own identity, and a deep, unwavering belief that housing is a human right, all of it led to the creation of Common Ground Realty in August of 2025.
We are a real estate brokerage rooted in equality, individuality, clarity, and community. We aren't just another new real estate company. We are the new real estate company. Different not because we can be, but because we should be.
What We Believe
Housing is a human right. Belonging is non-negotiable. Representation matters, at the closing table, in every neighborhood, and on every deed.

We charge 3% of the final purchase price for our buyer services. We charge 3% of the final sales price for our seller services. All fees are paid at closing. Nothing is due up front.
